We enjoyed a magical golden hour here at Seagull Bay Motel. We offered tours of the facilities, everyone mingled with their neighbors (or other guests) enjoyed some snacks, locally made cookies, and local cider.

We, the Carriers, have been busy renovating the hotel and wanted to say welcome everyone to tour while the colors and temps are were so enjoyable! Locals came to say hi! Guests were thrilled to enjoy a fun event that was right out their back door.

Lake Effect Co. was the mastermind behind it all doing a mini pop-up of cozy fall gear AND just chasing the views. When Katherine sent out an email to Seagull Bay seeing if we wanted to do a pop-up. We JUMPED at the chance and quickly got to planning. Her brand fits perfectly into Seagull Bay, and we cannot wait to have her back for the next Lake Effect Co. pop-up event.

Cassie Rosch was nothing short of a phenomenal photographer. ALL the way from Colorado just for our event! She snuck candids and did complimentary shots by the shore of guests, the people of Bayfield, and our fantastic staff. She organized food, ran around, and snapped so many amazing photos. She was even quite fun to hang out with and catch the views of Lake Superior in the background. Not to mention the fastest editing, and were lucky to know she’s relocating back to Wisconsin, so we hope to be seeing a lot more of her!

Boda Bayfield dropped off some gorgeous flowers our guests were raving about in our office early this summer. After we had the big news of a happy hour here at the property. We knew we needed to connect with this new Bayfield company. The owner came for a meeting, and we instantly knew we had picked a winner, we found out not only do they do flowers but also a rental company, and man do they have style. All the cute touches from all things flowers, chalkboards, water pitchers, and so much more thank Boda Bayfield.

It’s apple season here in Bayfield, WI, and we needed to bring some apple touches to the mix. So why not have a cider tasting? We called the best! Apfelhaus Cidery from right up the road. From the original flavor to the newest flavors fresh off the press. The colors of these beautiful ciders had everyone taking tastes.

Hoops Fish Market (remember the fish shop on the cover, that’s them!) is located right across the street, so we knew we needed to add them into our mix. The Hoopman family has been in the fish industry for many generations, so you know you cannot go wrong with anything from their little cute red shop on the corner.

Lindsey from Cookies by Lindsey dropped off the most beautiful cookies we had ever saw, we knew we picked the perfect treats for our happy hour. Our staff had strict orders to leave them alone until party time. Kids were running around with one in each hand even! They all went so fast we even missed out on the yummy treat!

The night ended with a pink sky wrapped around us and twinkling lights above. The golden happy hour could not have been better.

We need to also send out a quick thank you to the extra staff and family that helped pull this off. Mollie and Isaac were calling in favors from family and friends on speed dial. I can promise you we couldn’t have done this alone. Were so thankful for everyone for help, words of encouragement, and pure work that pull this off event seamlessly.
