We know firsthand what you’re going through. When we bought Seagull Bay our oldest son, Axel, was not a year old, and our son Ridge was born just two weeks after we closed on the sale. Yup – two weeks!
A few short months ago we welcomed a 3rd son, Banks Emmanuel Carrier, born February 1, 2022. And we just started moving into our new home!

What things are there to do in Bayfield in May?
We’re glad you asked.
The Madeline Island Marathon and Half-Marathon on May 21, 2022.
Madeline Island is the largest of the Apostle Islands. And it boasts a flat landscape that is friendly to all who take part.
Haven’t trained for the marathon? Or running is not your thing? Take the Madeline Island Ferry over to the town of LaPointe anyway. Within walking distance from the ferry are shops, galleries, a museum, and restaurants.
“M” is also for mountain biking. Bayfield is home to CAMBA’s Mt. Ashwabay Trail Cluster. While many of the CAMBA and other nearby trails are still drying out, Mt. Ashwabay’s elevation and sandy soil means it’s often the first trail system to open.
Bayfield is becoming a destination for bikers all around the Midwest. And it’s host to the annual CAMBA Women’s MTB Clinic North. This popular event starts Friday, May 13th, and goes to Sunday, May 15th. The clinic is full, but you can still enjoy the trails. Bike rentals are available at Howl Adventure Center.
This next one doesn’t start with “M,” but it’s worth mentioning.
Hauser’s Superior View Farm and Apfelhaus Cidery. A Bayfield staple for over 5 generations, this family-owned farm, features bare-root perennials, annuals, a wholesale greenhouse, and hazelnut seedlings. The infamous “Red Barn Plant Sale” starts May 1 and runs through Memorial Day.
Memorial Day weekend is the weekend that kicks off the summer season in Bayfield. This weekend Bayfield swings open its doors inviting you to come to relax and enjoy:

What can you expect during Memorial Day weekend? Apple blossoms!
The sweet-smelling pink and white blossoms dot the hills of Bayfield. Although we can’t exactly predict when the orchards will be in full bloom, there is a good chance you’ll see and smell them at the end of May.
We know our promotion doesn’t include Memorial Day weekend. But our promise of providing you with a hassle-free Bayfield vacation experience remains.
And in case May doesn’t quite fit your schedule, “Bayfield in Bloom” falls just after Memorial Day weekend.
